I'm attempting to start a soft drink line with my friend (we've found a bottling plant and everything) but the one thing we really need is a flavour. List the flavours you like and a flavour of soft drink you'd want to see on the market. We will attempt all of them, except really stupid ones (  ).

Anyway, Orange Pop, Lemon Lime (Like Sprite and Sierra Mist), and Root Beer.

I like dr pepper, coke (not pepsi mind you, cocacola coke), root beer, orange.
I'd like to see a good strawberry or cherry soda.

Well, if you want to be successful, you're gonna need all of the following flavors: Coke Sprite Mountain Dew Root Beer Those 4 are practically musts. Not those exact flavors, but your own company's equivalent. Others I'd like to see: Cherry Strawberry Orange Grape Dr. Pepper And then there are some others that are maybe worth looking into: Cream Soda Cherry Variations Vanilla Variations Diet Variations Beyond that, I don't know what other flavors exist other than maybe carbonated versions of lemonade and fruit punch.

I LOVE light sodas. Vault, Mountain Dew, Mello Yello, Sprite, Sierra Mist, 7-up. Uh... did I forget any?

We're all agreed that vanilla cola needs more vanilla. I can do that. Going to pass on cherry cola. Never seen strawberry cola before  Citrus-y flavours are go. Already got a good few recipes for them (should I use fruit juice?)

What about strawberry kiwi, or kiwi lime, or strawberry lime? And, yeah, you need to have a good vanilla, meaning, of course, more vanilla.

Straight cola is a hard flavor to get (IMO). The only one that I like is coke's version of it. I don't like any of the generics and I don't like pepsi, they are all far too bland for me. Coca cola has a sweetness that sets it apart and makes it better. Sweeter is better.

I haven't drank pop in half a year now. I cut it last summer, but when i did drink it Cherry Coke was a personal fav. which you have already ruled out.

Would everyone agree that Coca Cola has a bitter/tangy taste? No, it's sweet.  Coke tastes really tangy for me - it does have lots of phosphoric acid in it, after all. We'd try to make cherry/vanilla cola but like Eric said, it's really hard to get the flavour.
