It looks good to me. Only thing that I can nitpick is that it seems off balance, leaning toward the left side. The focal point for me is the bottom left, which feels a bit off. I think that's where your feeling of incompletion is coming from.

Can I just completely let go of draw1 and instead use jlabel to show the strings ? Yeah.

Well your draw1 class isn't used at all.
The message (msg) is being set, but it's not being put anywhere.
You should use a JLabel, add that to the JFrame, then use setText to assign the new message to it.

Don't do 1 shot per year. A friend died from doing that on his 21st birthday a few years ago.  Yeah, there's 3 of us having our birthdays this month, so we dropped it to 7. We're also spreading them out throughout the night.
