To someone. Key part there. The chances of me or anyone reading this encountering him are almost nonexistent. I never made fun of kids in high school, because it does have a direct effect. Will this affect him? Unlikely. However, it is people like you that think the same, and they really do hurt them. If everyone thought the same way you seem to, everyone would be hurting everyone, and there would be a chance that someone would see it. If everyone thought the way I did, no one would be hurt, because they wouldn't make jokes when they shouldn't. In any case, humor is better than pity.

My joking about this guy doesn't affect him in any way. It's not like by me cracking a joke that I'm hurting his feelings. Really? Saying something hurtful to someone doesn't hurt their feelings? To someone. Key part there. The chances of me or anyone reading this encountering him are almost nonexistent. I never made fun of kids in high school, because it does have a direct effect. Will this affect him? Unlikely.

That's probably because you lack a sense of humor. LOL, no. It's because I'm not a total dick to people who have issues. My joking about this guy doesn't affect him in any way. It's not like by me cracking a joke that I'm hurting his feelings.

This might sound really dickish, but some of the comments are hilarious.
For instance: "Can anyone lend the dude $50? He's a bit short this week"
I was planning on making a joke about how midgets aren't real people, but that was funnier.

Lighting FX, Lans Tartare. First two nominations. Agreed. Those two were driving forces behind what was the biggest forum on PB for years. Peter was quite a part of it as well. Tons of people registered for his codes. Hell, I learned coding from reading some of his codes.

That's a horrible analogy both because they are two COMPLETELY different pieces of technology and directed at two COMPLETELY different demographics. So are both a heart and pump, but I think that analogy works just fine. Quit being such a stubborn douche for once. I hardly think negating comparing legos to a ui design makes him a stubborn douche. They really are two completely different things.

...you guys do realize that this is only showcasing the app functionality for when using Windows 8 on a tablet, right? I'm just going based on what the article said, which seemingly suggested that this will be deployed to desktops as well. I might be retarded and reading wrong, or the article misleading, either way. Even as a tablet, I still probably wouldn't want to use it though. I'd probably prefer something like an android tablet, or like I said, an ubuntu tablet.

Tablets are understandable, but trying to release this as a desktop/laptop ui just seems retarded. Ultimate tablet UI: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpHxHuaJ0X8Or just ubuntu unity, which is also optionally deployed to desktops.

Mediocre at best. Too much about real emergencies. As if a zombie apocalypse isn't a real emergency. Fools.

Remind me to comment on this after I have slept. Also remind me: rollover. Edit: Btw I smited you to see if it'd change to "Over 8,999", but it didn't That would be cool. Screw you for smiting be, btw. I like it overall, especially love the alignment of wood and the search. Left nav feels empty though, and very unbalanced.

I have heard that the Japanese language is a rather difficult to learn, considering that there are thousands of different symbols in the language, each with its own meaning. Although, I do sometimes consider learning the language myself. It is always good to understand the background of someone's culture. That's actually Chinese. Japanese typically uses 48 characters, known as Hiragana. There is a "cursive" form, which also has 48 characters known as Katakana, which is derived from Kanji (Chinese characters used for Japanese words). While Kanji does have thousands of symbols, they are very rarely used, and there have been laws passed limiting the number available for use in signs, newspapers, etc. to about 2000 of them. Even then, they usually display the Hiragana above or beside these characters for people who don't know them.

Is it just me or does his picture link not work? You have to refresh the page after you go to it the first time. He really sucks at finding images that display properly.

Sounds slightly less efficient than the solar-powered calculators that have been around for at least 25 years now, imo. That's exactly what I thought, but didn't feel up to saying.
