Stuck on the old one here too. I was testing around in opera and got the new one in that though.

Still stuck with the old one, guys. I get the feeling you all are lying to me. :P

Nah, we wouldn't do that. I expect the changes will roll out next week.

I think it's here.

But according to YT, it doesn't work in Firefox yet. Hmm Strange.

It won't ever work in Firefox because Firefox won't license h.264. They're using OGG for HTML5 video because it is open source. Unless Google converts all of their videos from mp4 (with h.264 encoding) to OGG, Firefox will be stuck with Flash video.

Ah, that might be why I had it working in MP4. I recently uninstalled the MP4 FF hacks.

So is that the reason behind the beta vs non? :P I would think that's stupid if so.

I think so. But I did have full beta working five star (oh the irony...) in Firefox. I think YouTube have the classic conflict of interest: "GET CHROME! LOOK - WE FIXED IT. DOWNLOAD IT".

I know about the other browsers, but it felt good to say...

Nope, doesn't look like it, unless you need to be logged in. I just tested with Chrome.

That's what I thought. So I logged out. Still the beta. I went round to my buddy's place, no beta.
I assumed I installed a GM script (because I had been doing a lot of it during that time) and thought nothing more of it. Then I saw similar screenshots on the Internet lurking on sites talking about YouTube Beta.

I soon thought it was my IP on the beta program because it was fixed and all, which would explain why it worked when I logged out.

Before this turns into a novel, it doesn't work now. I had YouTube Beta working on Firefox. I haven't un/installed any scripts during the time Beta stopped working. It just stopped working one day.

The update has apparently gone live. I noticed it last night when checking to see what kind of pranks Google was playing. Didn't get a chance to really use it, though. I'll look later after work (YouTube is blocked at work. haha)

So I just went and watched a few videos on YouTube for the first time since this layout was implemented.

Jesus Christ.
