Hmm. Reminds me of the stuff that UrbanCinderella does/did.

I actually don't have much to gripe about. o.o I think the background could use some work. Simplicity isn't quite what this piece needed, I think. Maybe some a more apparent landscape. It's too faded at the moment and I actually had to look at it for a few minutes before seeing it.

Text could use a different font too, I think, but it is minor.

Overall... a great looking piece of surrealism.

Not quite sure about these. Too much contrast and not enough focus. Other than that, it could use some work with the actual display. It seems to be really simple and just doesn't work in my opinion.

This one is easy enough. Quick tut. This is assuming you are in Photoshop

1. Create a new layer and CTRL+A to select all
2. Edit > Stroke. Do 3 pixel (2 pixel may work too) and select inside. Hit Ok
3. Now you have two choices. You can try lowering the opacity to like 30% or you can change the layer style. You'll want to check out Overlay and Screen and then mess with opacity to get it right
4. Finally, it looks like they have a secondary border in there so you want to double click the layer with the stroke in it and select the "Stroke" option. Set it to 1 pixel, black, and inside. Then you want to play with the opacity of the stroke until you get the effect that you want. Then hit Ok


That should give you the effect you are looking for.

Interesting bit of premades. Could look great in a abstract/smudged/render sig.

If there is a protest in the Detroit area, I am there. The situation in Tibet is horrendous and the fact that China denounced Bush (uh... again) for speaking with the Dahli Lama (sp?) is ridiculous.

And I would go and protest their working conditions, air quality, political movements (athletes not being allowed to blog and countries having to threaten athletes with lifetime bans from the Olympics for speaking out about China's government is... insane)

So yeah. If anyone hears of a protest near Detroit, let me know. I'll make a sign and go down there.
