I think that's fake... it looks like it was being made ten years ago.

It's real. The few people they show look like the actors do in real life (for example... here is Justin Chatwin, aka Goku and here is Chow Yun Fat, aka Master Roshi who you do see in one picture)

Why would they change their name to Panik!? Seems like a copycat case of Panic! at the Disco.

We can't be V, it's not really possible in America. :P

But yes, I despise capitalism.

A V could exist here but it could hardly be a single person. It'd have to be multiple people. The thing is that in our current state of mind, an act like his where terrorist strikes are used to unite... it would unite the people of America against him rather than the government. It would have to be done a different way here.

Live action DBZ has been in the works since the mid-90s, haha. Despite being shitastic looking, at least it's coming out.

DB, not DBZ. :P A DBZ film chronicling the Freeza and/or Cell story arc could be produced if this one does well.

The first one needs some work as well. The logo isn't smooth at all and it doesn't look to be exactly centered. Maybe a pixel or two off.

Sorry... been slacking. :P

Anyways, the colors don't match on the second one. The SZ logo doesn't look right at all. Try neutral colors with this. The scanlines make the edges of the Starbucks logo kinda jagged so you should try to fix that. also, on the second one, the SB logo is cut off a bit on the left.

It's easy to lose when you aren't the first to do it. Nor are you the cheapest. Nor the easiest. :P

It may very well have been recorded before Stricken (like I said, it sounds like their older stuff), but it's official release was on the Stricken single.

It does. But Wikipedia says it is a TTF b-side

Room of Colour
-Just gonna let this one go for the most part. Seems experimental to me and I just don't dig it.

Else 1
-This one... this one I like. Great use of color and shadows.

Else 2
-This one completely improves on an already great piece. The glass room feel of it all is great. The reflections and shadows are beautiful. I have only one suggestion and that is to round the top part of the room or whatever it is. Make it look more like a tunnel. Other than that... great work.

sL1
-Besides being the type of car whose engine just died on me a few weeks ago, this one isn't too shabby. The floor isn't smooth and there could be some color, I think. The abstract bit is really touching on a neat style, I think. You should expand on the style and create an entire abstract render and have wireframes cover the entire thing instead of just parts and have no wireframes sticking out anywhere.

sL2
-This one... it really needs color. It just doesn't have much depth to it and I think color would help that.

Before I say anything, I must say that I am biased against these types of renders because I got sick of them a few years ago and the disgust is still there. That said... I'll try my best to be fair. :P

Anyways, looking at both of these, the bubble looking things don't really fit in with the renders and I think that when used in a sig, as these are sure to be, that would have to be cloned/healed out of there.

The wire frames... I think you went a little overboard of them.

I like the material used. I like the reflection of the light source on the first one but there appears to be two light sources going which doesn't work out very well, imo. The second one is much better in this respect.

There seems to be a little bit of a blue tint in some areas that doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the image.

I apologize for the lack of positive comments. >.<

:P

Finally got to see what it looks like (can't see a lot of free image hosts at school) and... very nice. Only thing I think you could possibly do to enhance it all is to try burning a corner or two and maybe add some page creases to add the finishing touches to the old fashioned look.

Great tutorial nonetheless.

EDIT: Congrats on the Recommended Tutorial. Are these the only two that you've done for the GIMP? I wanna make sure the index is right.

Circuit City flat out sucks compared to Best Buy. Blockbuster is being put out of business by NetFlix, Live Marketplace, iTunes, and Gamefly (or whatever the Online Game rental place is called). They've been closing stores, laying off employees, etc. for about a year now. Last November it was being reported that Blockbuster was looking to sell before it closed up completely.

Even in socialism, though, people don't have complete control. There are still leaders. People may have more power in a situation like this where everything is run by the community as a whole but there still will be leaders that will, more than likely, have their own agendas and wants. Their influence can still push someone to vote the way of the leader (aka lobbying which should be outlawed). There are still people under the leaders and if they get to a position of power (Even in an environment where the power is small) they will be able to abuse it because there is no fear at that point.

If (how I hate using this example) Bush were to honestly be afraid of the people to the point where a rebellion/revolution could be possible, would the US be in the condition that it is now? Would we still be in Iraq? Would we be dealing with an energy crisis? I honestly doubt it.
