I use Labs all the time, mostly for business via Google Apps. I hope they don't retire the Labs from Apps. About 30% of my entire Google footprint is sustained by Labs stuff. My current favorite being custom domain URL shortening similar to goo.gl. Zell, first off welcome back, second off... read the thread. The Google Labs code project repository is going offline, not the beta testing features.

Unfortunately, I'm stuck in a contract, or else I'd be jumping ship too. Wait wait wait wait. Weren't you the one who was all super duper excited over your last gen BlackBerry when you got it despite me ragging on you for getting it? Hmm.`

There is no telling with Apple. The iPad was supposed to be announced back in 07 but didn't get announced until last year. Obviously this won't be that extreme, but it could possibly be the day of launch.

There are no details for the iPhone 5 yet. Not a damned thing has been said about it. All we know is that Foxconn is being prepped for a new Apple product and AT&T and Verizon have been told to get their people ready for a new phone launch by Apple. Apple likes doing last gen stuff in current gen, but have been pretty good in keeping ahead of the curve with the iPhone. I suspect a redesign along with 4G, dual core processor, and probably better cameras

Kinda. From what I have read, it runs the apps natively without setting up any mock OS or anything. It just installs the necessary files and drivers to run Android apps and is done with it.
Will it be enough to save RIM? I sincerely doubt that. RIM is going the way of Palm. A former giant in freefall

Reports have the iPhone 5 coming out on September 5, right around the usual new iPod announcement date. Apparently Apple has ordered AT&T and Verizon to have their store and service employees trained and ready for a launch in early September.

Does it include the HD camera though? (I'm too lazy to click the article. ) Nope. It's also a small size, different dpi, ect. lolll Same quality screen is used, though. As far as I am aware, this is now the cheapest large size (23"+) IPS monitor on the market. They 27" is the same price as Apple's as well, though you can find it for as low as $700 if you look at the right time. Really depends on your need for Thunderbolt and the HD Webcam, though. Then again... I doubt I would ever pay more for a monitor than I paid for my computer.

Well, that's sad... they were some of the best features for Gmail. Was it actually integrated with anything else? They're only closing www.googlelabs.com/. The Gmail labs will still be active! source. You see... I thought the same thing at first and then read more and thought it was every single Google Labs. Glad to see it's not Gmail Labs or anything.
